We are seeking a skilled, experienced and committed individual to be our first General Builder to join the team. The ideal candidate must be competent in general building tasks, and willing to learn, improve skills, and train up others as the company grows. 

● Carry out general building works including:

○ Bricklaying and block work 

○ Concrete mixing, casting, and finishing 

○ Plastering, rendering, and screeding 

○ Basic carpentry (formwork, roofing support, door and window frames) 

● Read and work from basic building drawings and instructions 

● Ensure all work meets quality standards and building regulations 

● Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite 

● Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials 

● Work collaboratively with other team members 

● Report material requirements, defects, or site challenges to management 

● Adhere to workplace health and safety standards 

Essential:

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a general builder

• Practical knowledge of building construction methods used in Zimbabwe

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to company standards

• Physically fit and able to work on construction sites

• Basic communication skills in English and Ndebele

Desirable:

• Construction-related certificate or apprenticeship

• Experience with wide range of building skills including plumbing, electrician, tiling

• Experience in residential housing projects

• Ability to supervise helpers or junior workers

• Knowledge of basic site measurements and setting out
